Long but very easy hike. 3.5 hours up with lots of pics/breaks; Summit all to my self for 45 min. 2.5 hours down going full speed. Sad to see the severe erosion of parts of the trail; Coming down I came across a very young family at 4:00 pm and about 2 miles from the summit taking a break as one toddler was not having a great time & they asked how much further to the top!! No packs/gear. Dressed for a casual day in the woods. Told them it would be wise to not go further due to time etc. I hope they took my advice. Came across a couple with their gorgeous sweet golden who the lady just took a digger and broke her wrist on Lincoln Woods trail. They were there to meet her daughter who was coming off the Bonds to complete her 48th 4K! I hope they made it! |
