Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: First car in at 7:15. Lot completely full at 12:15 upon return. Please, for the love of god, don’t park perpendicular to the actual spaces. Find a place on the Kanc to park and walk.
Surface Conditions
Surface Conditions: Dry Trail, Wet Trail, Wet/Slippery Rock, Standing/Running Water on Trail, Mud - Minor/Avoidable
Recommended Equipment
Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: On the way up, had to walk upstream about 10 yards to find a place to cross on the first crossing. No issue on the way down.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: A couple of large blowdowns hanging above Greeley Pond Trail on the way out to the ponds. Both are delimbed, one looks old, one looks fresh. Probably nothing to worry about since they both look well-supported. Took one for the team and cleared out about 50 spiderwebs this morning also.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: All the pups I saw looked like they were having a blast.
Bugs
Bugs: Not terrible. Annoying on the way down, but for this time of year, totally bearable.
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: N/A

Comments
Comments: Not a ton to report. First time back on this trail in almost 3 years.

There is some serious trail creep going on around the wet areas of Mt. Osceola Trail on the way up to East. Not sure if this is from winter travel or summer travel, but it’s very noticeable.

Trail is steep and rocky, but better footing (IMO) than coming from the Tripoli side.
