Comments
Comments: Zealand trail was a stroll to the hut. Encountered mostly avoidable ice and snow about 0.5 miles up Twinway past the Hut. Then the fun began. Collapsing monorail from Zeacliff to Guyout. The monorail had frozen ice in spots that really hurt the shins. The stretch from Zealand to Guyout was the most trying. Bondcliff trail started out with exposed ground, transitioned to monorail at treeline heading down to Guyout spur trail. The monorail was marginally better than Twinway. West Bond Spur was snow and ice and monorail that mostly supported foot traffic. Back into snow, ice, and monorail on Bondcliff up to Bond and down to treeline toward Bondcliff. Bare ground up to Bondcliff. Mostly avoidable icy monorail past Bondcliff on the descent until the turn. Bare ground for remainder of Bondcliff, Wilderness, and Lincoln Woods. The bridge at LW was a nice sight to see. Walked in rain with thunder and lightning for last 6 or 7 miles.
