Hot day, especially on open ledges. Chandler Gorge is nice, but need to keep an eye on trail blazes, especially at the turn back to the main trail. Stubborn snow and ice patches between S and N Baldface, and especially between N Baldface and Eagle Crag. No traction needed, and almost all are avoidable. The other couple I had to walk across were no problem. Awesome 180 degree views from all 3 peaks and much of the trail between them. Great hike, but tiring given the steepness. |
