Sarge had a blast. Plenty of snow melt water runoff above treeline to drink during this warm spell |

Patches of snow and soft ice starts just before the Huntington Ravine Trail junction until the turnoff for Harvard Cabin, then mostly packed snow to Lion Head trail junction, bareboots or rock spikes based on your preference.
Lion Head Trail below treeline has snow and soft ice for the first tenth of a mile then mostly snow free except for the steep side slope just before treeline, here there is quickly deteriorating snow, no problem barebooting across.
Above treeline to Alpine Garden Trail junction is 95% snow free. Alpine Garden Trail to Tuckerman Ravine Trail junction has a steep snowfield heading up to the keyhole, the snowfield is soft snow and has a great beaten down boot step track, bare boots or light traction is fine. As long as the temps are above freezing this snowfield is a lot of fun, especially for the pups! Tucks to summit is all rock.
