Comments
Comments: Beginning trail area has some sand, almost like beach sand along the road.
Trail to The Outlook in great shape, mostly dry, intermittent wet spots. The Outlook alone is worth a hike, great trail and views on this side trail.
The snow started right around the higher Outlook trail junction, intermittent, then with deeper postholes in some areas. Some ice was unstable and hovering over the ground, ready to break.
I wore snowshoes most of the way between the upper Outlook junction and the section where one might wish they had longer legs. Snowshoes did not prevent all but helped a bunch with postholing.
Some of the bog bridges are snow covered, some are under water.
Summit area is dry.
Trillium are getting ready to bust out and the leaves are unfurling.
