Comments
Comments: Fun day on and around Cannon. Took a friend up for her first time as she continues to work on her 48, we spotted a car at the tram lot so she could get the full experience of both sides. She also had never seen Lonesome Lake so we popped out/back on the Dodge Cutoff, this trail is a mess right now. Ice about 50% out of the lake. Hi-Cannon wasn't bad, I was able to bareboot all the way up with a little bit of care. If I was less stubborn I would have put my spikes on, but I'm not, so I didn't. Monorail was pretty stable. Summit was perfect. Zero winds. No clouds. Nice day. Met a few friendly people who had come up the KRT, there was some discussion about utilizing the ski trails so they wouldn't have to descend. We went down the KRT with spikes (Kathoolas for me, Hillsounds for my friend). No issues but the tricky spots definitely required some care to navigate.
