Trail's in great shape. Limited very avoidable mud and running water on lower section. Ice started at 1.3 mile from the trailhead. Spikes were fine except for a tiny section near the top upon descent made more slippery by afternoon melt. The snowy monorail over to Waumbeck was holding up but woe to he who stepped off of it; with this week's warmup it may become an issue but no problem today.
Views forever, the entire Presi range in its full glory.
At least 25 other fellow hikers enjoying this trek - including 2 other parties of kids who joined their mothers like my guys did. Thanks to the two guys who proactively offered to take our foursome's pictures at both summits. Enjoyed meeting Peakbagger at Star King after years of taking advantage of his detailed posts and guidance on VFTT and here; congrats to him on his continued rehab.
