| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Nice to see the wooden walkway to avoid the mush pit at the beginning of Spencer Smith. However, it's the same ol story with the steep section..rocky eroded mess. people have taken to walk on the high edge of the embankment which may become its own issue over time. there is one skinny leaner over the trail between junction with the blue link and the actual summit. if you're not paying attention or wearing a brimmed hat, you could walk into it. No issues on Blue link or Mooers. |

| Dog-Related Notes: |
saw plenty. barely any moving water. bring some for the pups. |
|
| Bugs: |
yeah, the black flies are out but not in full force yet. on the way up they were annoying if I stopped. on the way down there was a brisk upslope breeze that kept them away. |
|
| Lost and Found: |
a glow in the dark Nalgene on a rock at the SS TH. |

| Comments: |
I was in the area, so why not...again. There were plenty of people around but I not crowded. On the way up, I left the trail at about .6m and wandered around the herd paths exploring the rocky ledges. good view of the Austin Cate campus from out here and lots of low bush blueberries. Only went as far as the actual summit. I think that's one of the biggest cairns I've seen. someday I want to traverse all the way to Evan Mt road. |
