Comments
Comments: The center of the trails were mostly solid, but if you stepped off to the side you would posthole in about 18" of snow. Some pretty sketchy parts especially on the descent on Avalon trail with 1-2" of slush on top of the solid base. Microspikes did not prevent some occasional sliding on this stuff. Attempting this without traction would be crazy (although we did see a few people doing so) I think it might be easier to do this loop clockwise (we did it counter-clockwise), but then you won't get the best views of the day (from Avalon) at the end
