Date of Hike
Date of Hike: Saturday, May 7, 2022
Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: Parked on Scruton Road just past the last house in a small pullout: Several large puddles in the road, the third of which we decided not to drive through. There is a fairly good sized parking area at the trailhead so if you continue up Scruton, you'll save yourself the steep climb to the trailhead. Scruton appears to go all the way through to Crown Point which might be a better approach.

Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Nice trails although not all are blazed so can get a bit confusing with all the unofficial trails between the two summits. Fire Tower and Pond are well-blazed. Signs at most intersections proved somewhat helpful. Trails are nice and clear.
Dog-Related Notes

Bugs
Bugs: A few; cold and windy today which kept them away.

Comments
Comments: Scruton trail is and old woods road until Canney Road after which it is a path up ledges. Little Blue Job a nice trail up ledges to the summit then a gradual down to the Fire Tower Loop. Fire Tower Loop steep and ledgy starting from the tower but soon becomes a moderate wide path. Pond Trail nice as it goes by the pond then climbs up through woods and ledges to the tower. Fun hike with lots of navigating: thank you, Gaia!
