Comments
Comments: It was a perfect day to do this hike, blue skies, warmish temps, and a nice breeze. Old Halfway House Tr is in great condition and a pleasant warm up for the steady steep climb up the rocky White Arrow. The white arrows are quite easy to follow all the way to the summit. They look brand new, thank you! What a fun scramble up to the summit! There was almost no one on the summit which is always a treat, especially with the views today. We did ourselves a favor and walked the road back to the car after descending the way we came. We were glad we did because we saw a very big bear cross the road less than 50 feet away from us. He was fast as we ran ahead to see if we could catch another glimpse of him in the woods. No such luck. The White Arrow trail to the amphitheater had a considerable water running down it and I was happy for my waterproof boots.
