Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: There’s a fee to park here. The lot wasn’t full when we arrived or when we left. Plenty of parking today.
Surface Conditions
Surface Conditions: Dry Trail, Wet/Slippery Rock, Mud - Minor/Avoidable
Recommended Equipment
Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: First minor one at the beginning is easy to rock hop.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: The person(s) who maintains this trail does an excellent job! Blazes could use a fresh coat of paint, especially the ones on rocks. There was only one leaner heading up Welch, and that one was easy to walk under. A number of blowdowns coming down from Dickey, but it looks like all the limbs have been trimmed very recently, so anything in the way just required a step over.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Saw tons of pups out and all were so well behaved.

Comments
Comments: Totally snow and ice free on the trails. A little leftover snow in the woods, but that looked fresh… maybe from this past week’s snow? You can leave the spikes at home for this one!

Trail was relatively dry with some patches of mud. A few of the ledges had some water running down the rocks, so use caution when walking on those areas.
