Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Bridge on LW Trail still out but passable. All on Lincoln Brook were rock hopable: last 2 took some negotiating but we stayed on dry rocks.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Trails as expected and in good shape. Numerous blow downs on bushwhacks.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Cooper and Piper had a grand time. And, amazingly, they confined most of the mud to their paws, and were able to wash off prior to the end of hike and getting in their cars. This is long hike, and could be challenging for dogs not used to going the distance.
Bugs
Bugs: Saw a mosquito

Comments
Comments: Trail report from Sat was spot on and very helpful, thanks much.

Only comments to add were that we didn't put on Hillsounds until about half way up the Brutus Bushwhack where we experienced a consistent covering of snow, may have been some melting since the day prior. They stayed on until we came down the steepest section of the bushwhack; we and the couple right behind us, found it helpful to keep spikes on to get better traction in the eroding bare (no snow or ice) steep sections.

Only post-holing was at the lookout over the Bonds, we both went in about 1-2 feet while trying to take in the great view.

Only saw 7 others on the whole hike (including Lincoln Woods) and no other pups, and all were heading to or from the Owl. One couple said they bushwhacked up the east side, quite wet & challenging; spikes were required gear.
