Comments
Comments: Snow started after last crossing on Stony Brook. Carter Moriah (CM) from the junction to Moriah was good conditions, the rocky parts are snow free and there are limited slippery or heavily iced steep sections. Worst part was probably right before the summit of Moriah but that was easily manageable with some care.

CM to Imp Shelter had limited tracks but snow was supportive. After the shelter to the summit of North Carter, there were no tracks but snow was still very supportive and the trail well marked. I may have postholed a handful of times from Stony Book to the N Carter summit but nothing bad. The N Carter ascent was a bit slow and steep but Hillsounds, trekking poles, and tree grabbing got me up just fine. Hillsounds were biting into ice well and I didnt have any real slipping issues.

CM from North Carter to Carter Dome was supportive, saw lots of traffic, and very fast.

Carter Dome trail towards the hut was supportive and easy going to the view where it gets steep. The steep section has a few slippery patches of soft snow but nothing that was too dangerous with care and tree grabbing.

Wildcat ridge up to A seemed to be alternative steeps that spikes bit into well or sketchy side hilling that I was happy to be going up rather than down. A-D is fast and solid. Polecat had a bit of soft snow after a day in the sun but was very easy going as usual with snow almost continuously down to the base.
