Comments: Ski slope, Ridgeline

Great day for taming the Wildcats. We started out at the main parking area and hiked up the ski trails to reach Wildcat D. During the accent, there was hard-packed, icy snow still on the slopes, and on the descent, the snow was slushy - about 5” in some spots.

The ridgeline was still snow-covered and had postholes - they were about 2’ of snow in some spots. There was also ice in some of the steep areas of the trail, but nothing that microspike could solve.

There were a few other hiking groups on the trail. Also, during our descent, we saw a fairly large group of backcountry skiers ascending the summit.
