Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: If your dog is not used to hiking, this is not the time to do Jackson/Webster. Lots of sheer ice, especially on the ridge. My pup was able to manage by doing some bushwhacking, a little harness lift, or leaning on my pack as I slowly navigated on my butt.
Bugs
Bugs: None!
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: 2 pairs of glasses were in the trail sign at start of the trail when I started up.

Comments
Comments: A beautiful bluebird day. Started out a little before 8, very muddy initial 0.5-0.75 miles. I put micro spikes on about 0.5 miles in. Went up Jackson, mostly packed/granular snow from the take off to the ridge. Exposed rock in the summit with small ice pools. Very icy descending Jackson heading towards Webster. Ice axe and crampons would make it easier for sure. Thanks to the amazing hiker who left a rope on one of the really bad sections. It’s was extremely helpful! Ridge trail poorly marked but able to make out trail from previous traffic. Some post-holing. Webster was exposed rock at summit. Mostly packed granular snow on way turn Webster until just before the waterfall. Large section of sheer ice with some exposed tree roots and rock. Had the mountain till myself until about 1 mile from trail head, went by several people ascending.
