Comments
Comments: A great hike today with weather on the warmer side and the sky breaking into a vivid blue. The treefolk were coated with ice and snow heading up the summit made for some amazing scenery. We barebooted start to finish with no need for traction. The herd path was a little wet with spotty muckiness and Haystack road is clear, hard packed aggregate and in great shape - ready to open in my opinion. NTT had a coating of snow in the morning with spots of goop. We followed some coyote footprints for a while and heard some yipping in the woods. NTT was mostly dry on our return. FWR was wet on the lower 1/4 and had some running water in places. It had a coating of packable snow from there to the top. Much of the snow had melted on the bottom half of FWR when we returned. Congrats to Pam for gridding out this peak today.
