Parking/Access Road Notes: Two cars when I got there in about eight when I left 
Surface Conditions
Surface Conditions: Wet Trail, Ice - Blue, Wet/Slippery Rock, Standing/Running Water on Trail, Snow/Ice - Frozen Granular, Mud - Significant, Snow - Spring Snow, Slush 
Recommended Equipment
Recommended Equipment: Snowshoes, Light Traction, Traction 
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: No remaining ice bridges but the water level was low enough for Rock hopping 
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: All of the signage is still intact, blazes very visible, lots of blow downs but nothing impassable, light or no traction needed on the 1st mile of Valley Way and airline (Still lots of ice in between large sections of exposed roots rocks in mud), lots of slush on the descent down airline, full crampons necessary at elevation especially if you plan to ascend Mount Adams up star Lake

Comments: The trail pretty much looks like you expected to look this time a year… Lots of everything so plan and prepare for anything. Great ascen of Valley Way to Madison. Got within 2/10 of a mile to the summit of Adams and had to turn back. Zero visibility. Winds quickly went from occasional gusts to full on blow and sideways snow became increasingly heavy. Went back down to Madison hut and up the gulfside to connect to airline. Airline trail at
elevation was great but a mile below tree line became a mix of slush and ice… Lots of careful steps needed
