Comments
Comments: See our comments from a week prior. The difference this time is that pretty much every single patch of ice has melted. Trail is wet in some places, and a bit muddy in others. All in all, mostly dry trail with good footing.

We carried light traction but never needed it.

We did a different loop this time: up Wapack to Pack/South Pack; Wapack to Cliff Trail to Ted's Trail; down Ted's to terminus with Carolyn's; up Carolyn's to Cliff Trail to North Pack summit, then back to Pack/South Pack before heading down auto road a bit to check out some old summit infrastructure before bushwhacking to the Marion Raymond Trail and back to the car.

Saw all of a dozen people all day, and almost all of them were in the parking lot at day's end.

Speaking of the parking lot at day's end: while there was no one at the entrance in the morning to check on parking fee payments, there was such a person at day's end. This attendant made the mistake of chatting us up a bit and asking about our hike and our day before asking our residency and age, and then telling us that we owed $8.00 for parking and to pay up there, on the spot — without asking first if we had already paid. We had already paid and we said as much. Not the most tactful individual, and the only downside to the entire day.
