Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: I recollect four blowdowns on the Dickey side, all below the ledges. Two will probably require a chainsaw. Lots of unmitigated trail creep. Also noted that a lot of blazes have been removed from the ledgy areas, which if not addressed soon, will only further the environmental damage from trail creep.

Comments
Comments: I was able to do the loop with care without Microspikes, but there are a few icy areas that would probably be better with traction (descending from Welch into the col, descending Dickey in the scrubby areas adjacent to ledges). Plenty of wet ledge as well. Mud and patchy ice along the brook on the way up Welch. Only patchy snow remains visible in the woods.

Nice partly sunny afternoon with temperatures in the 50s.
