There’s a cluster of 6 small and medium sized trees across the Stony Brook Trail almost immediately after crossing the first bridge (within the first 0.1 mile), including a blazed tree. |

| Comments: |
Sporadic ice and mud on the trail till about 1600’ when the ice and packed snow becomes consistent. Lots of bare ledges free of snow and ice on the CMT intermingled with sections of hard ice. Descending, a lot of snow and ice had already melted off the trail. I had light traction on for most of the day, as did everyone else; crampons right now would be overkill. |
