Comments
Comments: I batebooted all the way up and down. Trace amounts of snow at the start then intermittent monorail along the North Twin Tr. Only about 2 inches high. After the 4th switchback on Firewarden's Tr the snow was consistent and actually quite good coverage aside from a few drainages. Snowshoes could have been worn but I was not sinking as there was a new 1/4 inch of new snow on a firm, crunchy base. I carried spikes and snowshoes to be sure I wouldn't need them. Saw no others on the trail today but there were lots of footprints coming up Hale Brook Tr.
