Spicy conditions today. An ominous cloud was clearing as I was heading up at noon. Trail was mix of everything. Barebooted up to ledges. Put spikes on after ledges heading to summit. Plenty of ice in this section. Also, Monorail through the woods was stable but I expect that to change in the next couple days. Kept traction on the decent until just after ledges. It’s a slick downhill from here. Take your pick between wet rocks and slippery mud. As you are heading out this weekend take care in these unpredictable conditions. |
