Late afternoon/evening start. Snow down low very soft, more firm above the spring. Depths increased past Starr King. Beautiful sunset colors thru the trees. Winds started on Starr King higher on Waumbek. Headlamp on for the quick hike down. Many owls heard in the woods. Snowshoes still needed to keep trail smooth, too warm for spikes. |
