Comments
Comments: Broke trail from Zealand hut in about 12 inches of new snow, sometimes deeper with drifts, all the way up to summit and down Hale Brook Trail. Almost like back country skiing only with snowshoes coming down Hale! So much fun! Whoohoo! Trail is ready for the masses now! Have fun. Beautiful day, sunny, no winds to speak of. Saw the tracks of someone coming down Lend-a-Hand from the summit, but they didn't make it past the blowdown section. Must have turned back. It's pretty tricky in there to wind your way through but should be easier now that we laid down our tracks. As long as the winds don't blow them over, which they shouldn't because I think they are all done for now. Zealand road is packed out as well for snowshoers and xc skiers, all the way up to the hut. It's a winter wonderland out there right now. Grab it while you can!
