Date of Hike
Date of Hike: Sunday, September 11, 2011
Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: Plenty of parking at The Basin.
Surface Conditions
Surface Conditions: Dry Trail, Mud - Minor/Avoidable
Recommended Equipment
Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: All were easily rock hopped. The washed out bridge on Cascade Brook Tr should only be a problem with high water.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Dodge Cutoff and upper section of Hi-Cannon Tr could use some brushing. Numerous bog bridges around the Cannon Balls are melting back into the earth. There are several new ones north of Kinsman Junction.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Little water along the Kinsman Ridge Tr so plan accordingly. Marlie successfully climbed the ladder on the Hi-Cannon Tr although she needed some coaching and a boost to get on it. I would not recommend this for most dogs.
Bugs
Bugs: None!
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: Lots of tid bits of trash and two plastic water bottles. Maybe someone confused eco friendly bottle as biodegradable bottle.

Comments
Comments: A great day to visit all of these peaks and see the flags. We started at the Basin to avoid the mobs of people near Lafayette Campground. We met lots of Hike-NHers on these peaks. Well done guys and gals.
