Comments
Comments: Lots of traffic up to the circle junction. Slippery brook tr. was well traveled and frozen; some post holes; same along with the knob tr. I took the snow fields to the south of the trail to cut the corner from BFK Tr. to BFC Tr. which saved distance and let me take advantage of better snow. The trail proper was bony due to lack of snow in this flat above treeline area. Between the peaks had only seen traffic by one snowshoe and their steps were blown in in places. Snow was mainly supportive except in the bigger drifts. The upper north end of BFC trail seemed to be untouched, but about halfway down, I ran into tracks.
