| Comments: |
Lambert Ridge Trail is heavily post holed, by one human and moose. The packed trail is hard, we found it easiest to navigate in microspikes. Hard enough that we did not post hole at all. Tons and tons of moose tracks, crossing the trail frequently. Ranger trail has seen a little less action, a couple snowshoers broke it out and the bare booted human who post holed all of Lambert Ridge Trail, had descended down Ranger. But the snow held up a little better and the post holing wasn't quite as bad. Lots of moose action on this trail too. Some blow downs that can be ducked under or navigated around using a little trail gymnastics. We went up the tower, but didn't check to see if it was actually open. The wind had us up and down real quick. |
