Comments
Comments: Fun day with Dunc and Miss Grace doing some grid work for them and getting these summits in official winter for me. I'll go to my grave swearing that this is a 13-14 mile hike, it just always beats me up. Throughout the day the trail was chopped up and we did our best to lay down a good snowshoe track. Below about 3750 feet on both sides the snow had been rained on and was mashed potatoes. The traverse across the Rollins Trail was mostly powder. Easy time up the ledges today for all of us, including Grace. We brought the hillsound pros but never had to swap out the snowshoes. FYI: Kate Sleeper Trail was not broken out.
