Comments
Comments: I took the forest society trails to Pioneer Lake and along the south shore. A good consolidated base under shallow new powder made breaking easy. At the southeast end of the lake, I headed for Nancy, finding about 2 feet of snow and sinking an average of maybe 8 inches in snowshoes. From Nancy summit, I returned to the snowmobile trail I'd crossed, which goes right over Carter Hill. A short bushwhack took me to the highpoint and then I bushwhacked down and to Stoddard rocks. I took trails down but then crossed the lake to cut the corner to my tracks.
