Comments
Comments: Donned the snowshoes just past the last house in the field. Crunchy snow from that point, following a set of previously descending snowshoes tracks.
Snow deepens a bit in elevation gain with some drifting areas. There isn't a lot of snow, so there are some hidden tripping rocks. At Rollins trail junction the previous tracks ended.
Trail was unbroken to Passaconaway which is now a good track. On the steeps, there is hidden bare rocks and ice, but traction was good. We need more snow.
(Trail is still soft, so snowshoes would be the footwear of recommendation.
But the upcoming cold weather may hardened the surface for light traction. I don't care I'm not going back.
