| Comments: |
We followed one set of snowshoe tracks. Still lots of heavy unpacked snow with an icy crust on top. Snowshoes were needed. Wore snowshoes for the entire hike. Some deep drifts as we gained higher elevation. Once finally ascending the summit cone, the wind was too powerful and we turned around about .25 miles from the summit. Weather was beautiful in the woods. Snowshoes will help pack this trail. We past a large group heading up who were wearing spikes, carrying their snowshoes and tore up the trail that we had just packed. |
