Comments
Comments: A nice day to hike through the Sandwich Wilderness.Barebooted to first ice bridged water crossing then Micros until changing to snowshoes approx 1/4 mile in on Kate Sleeper Trail.Trails up to Middle Tripyramid have seen decent traffic making for quick travel.Middle Tripyramid on has between 2-6+" of snow over crust. Descending S Slide as well as Kate Sleeper before heading into tree cover has varying snow amounts up to knee deep in spots.Kate Sleeper Trail had an incredible amount of moose activity in the first 1/2 mile. Although micros couldve been used on Rollins/Dicey's Mill Trail i opted to keep shoes on until descending from Passaconaway. it was nice meeting and chatting briefly with the three hikers descending Passaconaway. it was also great hiking the last 3/4 mile with one of the three with an amazing pace!!
