Comments
Comments: Mt. Roberts tr. is well packed and could be done without snowshoes right now. High ridge trail was lightly traveled and the Farway Spur was untraveled. Snowshoes are a must beyond Roberts. After hiking up and down Farway via the road, I took the high ridge a short distance east and then bushwhacked down the ridge and into the Shannon Brook Drainage. I hit Cold Spring Road (plowed) and walked that out. Very nice snowshoeing in open woods off trail.
