The one water crossing can be crossed on the log or by utilizing rocks in the streambed. |

No significant blowdowns. Trail in great shape, overall. |

Road approach section is icy. Trail has consistent packed snow all the way, perfect for light traction but would be OK with snowshoes, as well. There are a couple of inches of fresh powder on top in the upper reaches.
Lovely cold weather hike with Chris. It was a pleasure to run into and chat with Hiker Ed, headed over to Whiteface on the Rollins Trail. He was the only person we saw all day. |
