Surface Conditions: Ice - Black, Ice - Blue, Snow - Packed Powder/Loose Granular, Snow - Unpacked Powder
Recommended Equipment
Recommended Equipment: Snowshoes, Light Traction
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: All three on 19MB were easy - water was pretty solid under the two with snow-coated log bridges.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: A couple of minor step-over blowdowns on 19MB between the trail head and WRT junction. Would be nice if the broken log bridge could be fixed when the nice weather returns next June! :-)

Comments
Comments: 19MB is packed solid all the way to the WRT junction. Thank you to the 4 snowshoers who broke out WRT previously this week. It was in great shape from WRT junction to Wildcat A - nothing sketchy or scary on that section today!! However, due to a steady stream of non-snowshoers, the 3 mile section of ridge from Wildcat A to D is not well consolidated yet and needs some more snowshoe love to pack it down good. There is some noticeable black ice and some thick yellow flows here and there but they are snow covered for the most part.
