Comments
Comments: Lot was full at 1145pm. Started the hike at 11:45am late start. Greeley Pond was well marked. Good Pace to trail sign I used hill sound spikes from the Osceola trail to summit The Climb up to summit was slow. We passed a bunch of morning hikers coming down from summit they were happy. There isn't quite enough snow yet for a perfect run. There are some exposed rock which reveals some slippery ice underneath the snow. The snow was slippery in some sections. Getting the Osceola summit was a two hour 15 minute grind. The Ridge walk was fine. If I had the snowshoes on my bag I would have used them for better traction between the ridge walk. The Chimney was iced over. The bypass very easy to notice just take your time had some solid grips. From top of the chimney to East Summit you can use snowshoes. Summits were amazing. Great views. A great winter weather hike.
