| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
SST continues to need major attention. The steep section is an eroded ditch that requires reconstruction. Blazing needs to be redone for the entire length; there are a few spots where the trail corridor could be missed if you don't know the route. Several blowdowns; one larger one, a short distance north of the summit, has a herd path forming around it. LT and MLT were generally ok, but new blazes wouldn't hurt there either. SST has a new section of bog bridges near the start which bypass a wet area. |

| Comments: |
This hike certainly didn't feel like December. In general, all of these trails were a mix of dry ground and wet areas from recent rain and snow melt; there's no snow or ice remaining here at all so no need for traction until we get some more weather. Small areas of flooding along SST and MLT.
Fairly mild temps and bright sun made for a nice visit to the south ledges. There were a few other folks out, but overall it was pretty quiet here today. |
