Comments
Comments: It was a warm shirt-sleeve day. Some snow up to the Blueberry ledges which may have melted by now. The ledges were snow free with copious amounts of running water. No traction needed. The Rollins was 3" of well postholed slush, water, and mud up high; decreasing to bare ground at the Dicey Mills intersection level. I think this is due to a combination of less snow down lower, melting, and a more Southern exposure. From Rollins intersection to the summit the Dicey Mills trail is mostly bare in the track with an inch or so of snow alongside. Bare boots even on the steeps. Below the intersection the snow is soon gone.
Thank you Postal Patty for a fine, fun day.
