Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Tripoli Rd was still open from the Waterville side. There are sections of ice on this trail nearing the top that some may wish they had traction for. I did it fine without but I really had to be careful. Most of it you can avoid by stepping on clear rocks, but a few times you had to go across. I’m not sure I would have bothered to break out my spikes even if I had brought them, but just a heads up. The mud along the ridge approaching the summit was nicely frozen so could walk right across. I imagine on colder days many of the rocks that were just wet would be frozen and that could get ugly.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Brought my two along and we had the summit to ourselves! Met one lone hiker on the way up who was super chill with my pups and a large group on my way down who were also very friendly. Thank you to all of them!
