| Comments: |
A light rainy day hike of these two peaks. Rain was wind driven at times and picked up for short periods but overall not bad at all. The first trace of snow was noticed ascending the south side of loop with more at upper elevations which was mostly slush. Between South and North there were quite a bit of ice chunks on trail that im guessing fell from the evergreens. Descending on the North Side of Loop i was surpised to see the trail virtually snowfree. Micros on the pack for the season(made great windchimes today) as well as winter gear in the pack. I met no one today on the trail but did chat briefly with two hikers heading out in the lot. Happy Hiking!!! |
