| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Trails in good condition. There was recent brushing of the Mt Parker Trail. The mud areas on the Davis Path around Crawford Dome could use some stepping stones. Some eroded spots on the trails that did not impair hiking. All tree falls are at or near ground level and were easily stepped over. |

| Comments: |
Most of the ledge areas were dry today so the footing was secure. These ledges can be challenging when wet and especially if icy. Much of the way was under evergreen forest so there wasn't long stretches of trail covered in leaves. It is worth the effort to hike the trails to the summits of Mt Crawford, Mt Resolution, and Giant Stairs Mountain to enjoy the sweeping vistas. The ledges near the summit of Mt Resolution provide a view of Mt Washington that is not afforded by the lower ledges on Mt Resolution. Hiked a couple of herd paths off the Mt Parker Trail towards the highest points on Mt Resolution.
Met a Braintree MA couple who overnighted at the Langdon shelter and a Nahant MA couple who camped on Stairs Mtn. One hiker was heading to Mt Isolation and two Boston area woman on their first hike to Mt Crawford. Another hikers was impressed by the three summits on this hike. |
