| Comments: |
A mixture of dry and wet trails, and mud. Leaves cover up rocks and roots this time of year. Be extra vigilant and make deliberate steps. Some black ice going up North Twin Trail, and frozen mud and ice between North and South Twin. Dry trail initially coming down South Twin, then a few icy spots. Took care to get around. Carried microspikes but did not need them (they stay in my pack this time of year). The contrast of fall colors in the valley and winter on the higher peaks was beautiful. Always a fun hike with Steeps and Gypsy hiker. |
