Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: I was the first vehicle at Pine Bend Brook pull off just before 7am, only about 5 vehicles when I returned to my truck at 2:30pm. I passed through Olivarian Brook parking lot around 1:50 pm and there were a few spots open, then went by an overflowing Sabbaday Falls lot.
Surface Conditions
Surface Conditions: Dry Trail, Wet Trail, Wet/Slippery Rock, Standing/Running Water on Trail, Mud - Minor/Avoidable
Recommended Equipment
Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: All crossings were low and easy, but enough of leaves in some of the slower moving water to make you think its just wet ground.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Pine Bend Brook as reported a few times this week is in fine shape albeit not often blazed in the wilderness area. Kate Sleeper is easily picked up while the yellow Y painted on the rock is still visible. A couple small cairns mark the route down and across the next slide section where it heads into the woods. Kate Sleeper all the way to Rollins is in fantastic shape, random blue blazes but open and very easy to follow even with lots of leaves covering the footbed. When I did this same hike last month on 9/11 Dicey's Mill was getting many new steps both rock and log, very nice. Sqaure Ledge and Passaconaway Cutoff are also in fine shape and easy to follow even with the lack of blazes.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Met a few friendly pups on Rollins all having a good time.
Bugs
Bugs: None.
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: Found a bunch of trash and beer cans at the large campsite by the bog at the Downes Br and Kate Sleeper junction, and they were drinking pretty crappy beer too. I do not recall this being here last month but I also don't recall looking. I only had my small pack so I was not able to carry much out, this will need a large trash bag. If this mess is yours please contact me and I'll make sure it is returned to you.

Comments
Comments: Overall great weather for the Sandwhich Range. I have now done this same hike now three times and four months and it's becomming one of my favorite loops.

I didn't see a single soul until I hit Rollins Trail where it was fairly busy, then only a couple of hikers comming up Square Ledge Trail in the afternoon. No wildlife seen today but some fresh moose tracks alone Kate Sleeper between East Sleeper Spur and the Downes Br intersection (spooked a large bull moose here last month).
