| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Carter Moriah in great shape. Kenduskeag has many blowdowns both step overs walk unders and a few on trail laying on broken bog boards requiring walk around. some of the blowndowns within a 1/2 mile of Mt Moriah could use a chainsaw or a hefty ax master. Shortly before summiting Shelburne Moriah and just before a small bog there is a short muddy section of trail that appears shallow but is knee deep mud. I learned today its never to early to posthole. Shelburne Trail in good shape with a few knee high blowdowns and a few smaller stepovers. noticed some flagging for future trail work im guessing

An excellent day to finish an exciting backpacking trip through the Wild River Wilderness and beyond.it was nice meeting the 2 NoBos again as well as a section hiker. Only saw 2 others on the trail to SM. i truly hope you missed the knee deep mud hole that i encountered. 🙃
