Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Trail is in excellent shape. Well blazed and cairned, although the double blazing which I assume is to account for areas that people may avoid at times was a little confusing. At one pont I sttod and looked at yellow blazes going in two directions, lol.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Shay had a blast, a few nice streams down in the valley to provide H2O.
Bugs
Bugs: Mosquitos in the valley caused me to spritz on a some Deet, up high zero bugs.

Comments
Comments: I really enjoyed this trail. Starts off as an old tote road, providing a relaxing warm um up. Then you hit a short steep section, that dumps on the ridge proper. The trail then meanders up intermittent slabs with some open views to the lake, never getting steep at all. Just a beautiful route. Only saw one person, a trail runner that startled us at a corner and gave us a laugh. I do not miss the mess that is the 4ks, love the smaller ranges out of the Zoo. Hiking mostly midweek helps as well. Will be back soon for Mack and Klem.
