Room for several cars in the lot on Long Pond Road. Long Pond Road is in good shape up to the trailhead from High Street. |

One deadfall blowdown about .3 from the trailhead. I moved most of it off the trail. |

With it being rather hot today I figured a shorter hike would be better, this one did not disappoint. Trail was dry with a few areas of mud, easily avoided. Great views from the ledges below the summit and partial view from the summit. The trees surrounding the summit are growing up limitng the view a bit. Very interesting view into Slide Brook Ravine and up to Mt. Moosilauke. |
