| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Success Pond Road recently graded and in great condition! The first quarter mile nearest to Berlin is a tad rough, but otherwise it is awesome. Parking for one or two cars at trailhead and parking for about 5-6 cars along the side of the road near the trailhead. |

| Dog-Related Notes: |
One chimney-like rock formation would be difficult for some dogs to ascend/descend, unless they found their way around through the woods. It was hard for me to descend with my crappy knees :) |

| Bugs: |
Minor skeeters and black flies on lower half of Success Trail during the descent. |

| Comments: |
Great hike! Trails were in great condition, except for wet rocks, which made things slippery. Views were muted due to haze. Took the side trip to the plane crash site, which is marked perfectly in Gaia GPS, but apparently not some other apps (found a hiker using a GPS who was not sure where he was). Enjoyed the alpine environment to the west of the summit! |
