| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Small lot. We got there around 9am (I believe) and there was plenty of parking. But moments later there was a large party, separate cars, that followed us in. This may have been an unusual circumstance. |

| Surface Conditions: |
Wet Trail, Mud - Significant |
|
| Recommended Equipment: |
|
|
| Water Crossing Notes: |
None. You do follow a brook at the beginning, so if a water source is needed for any reason, you have some, but limited access |
|
| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
None, unless you can dry the out. It really was quite messy. If not for being a section of the AT, it almost seems like it should be avoided. |
|
| Dog-Related Notes: |
My dog. Only other dog I saw was a thru hiker with his dog. Easy trail for a dog (if you don’t mind the mud). No boulders, scrambles, just a walk in the woods. There’s not even a real summit with ledges, just a fire tower. |
|
| Bugs: |
We had no issues, although I did have on bug repellent. It certainly seemed like prime conditions though. |
|
| Lost and Found: |
Nothing |

| Comments: |
I personally would avoid this trail unless we are in a drought. Maybe then it’s not so muddy. I don’t know what all that mud and tracking through it is doing to the trail. |
